Summer letter

Dear kindergartner,

We hope that you are enjoying the last days of summer.   Kindergarten starts soon and we hope you are getting excited!  We sure are!

We will see you at the kindergarten visit day on September 2 from 9:30-10:30.  We can't wait to meet you!  You have an at-home activity to do between now and then-please decorate the person included in this package and bring it with you to the classroom visit. Please bring classroom supplies with you as well.

On your first regular day of school, September 3, please bring:

•  a small bag that has items that remind you of summer. Some ideas include shells, ticket stubs, souvenirs or pictures to share with the class.  We can wait to hear about your summer memories!

• a family photo (4 X 6 or 5 X 7) to leave at school for the year.  We will be making a class display and learning about each other's families.

• transportation schedule-how you are going home daily.  We realize that this may change over time so please let us know of any changes to your child's routine.

*a towel to be used during quiet time.  It will come home each Friday to be washed.
